Blazing Reader,
This collage from The Corbett Report's Solutions Watch interview with Étienne de La Boétie² was quite revelatory for me (click to enlarge):
It shows how trick photography and religious iconography are combined to make US presidents appear holy. It's mildly subliminal, but impossible to unsee once you see it. It might explain the reverence people bestow upon popular presidents like Obama and Trump (sorry, Bush and Biden, you'll need more than faux halos).
Now, you might say it's all a coincidence and unintentional.
In that case, I'd challenge you to check out the free teaser copy of Étienne's new book, To See the Cage is to Leave It. On top of page 47, you'll find a photos showing how Washington, DC, was modelled after the Vatican. Below thone photos are illustrations showing the hard-to-deny similarities between the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials and the Parthenon (dedicated to the Greek god Athena).
You can download the free teaser copy at SeeTheCage.com.
