Lettuce, milk and
a dystopian love story...

My family has been buying more than 90% of our groceries from Pfenning's Organic & More for the last fifteen years. But I've never been to the store. We've always ordered online, with my now good friend Wolfgang Wurzbacher delivering rice, beans and vegetables to our door every Monday.

Wolfgang and his wife Almut (who runs the storefront) also helped me craft the Bavarian characters in my novel, Much Ado About Corona, proofed all the German language dialogue, and are now selling the novel at their checkout counter...

After the unpleasant reception my book received from our local bookstore owner, it was a surreal experience seeing it selling under Almut's happy proprietorship.
